I feel like a grown up. Im at the RTA on my own and no one even told me to come here lol
I need to update my address on my license. I never changed it after I moved at the beginning of the year. I even called my bank and sorted some stuf out.

I never do these things for myself. Mostly just coz I'm lazy, but I must admit, calling companies and running errands used to make me nervous. I didn't like talking to strangers over the phone. Now I'm sorta over it. Although while I was working at the rehab ward I avoiding answering the phone as much as possible. I always felt like an idiot. I could rarely help people and I'd just have to pass it on to someone who knew the admission requirements better and could gauge if they were appropriate for the facility.

Im actually at work at the moment. My shift is from 10 till 2 but the show doesn't start till 1pm. I was just going to sit up there in the office like yesterday and make another computer scream so I thought I may as well try to get this RTA thing done. As long as they attend to me b4 11am. I don't want to be gone for that long.

I've actually been avoiding blogging since the weekend on purpose. I've felt a little shitty. Halloween was crap ={

Oh awesome they just fixed my license XD back to work!

Here. Wewt. so all I have left to do is go to my bank and sort out my Internet banking.

Anyway back to my somewhat shitty weekend. Friday night was awesome fun with the guys. since I was up all night I wad pretty groggy on sat. I went with tim to his cousins bday but I was so tired that the entire thing is a blur. After that we went back to mine, then his, then Nats Halloween party but we were only there for a bit. Then Albert and Warren [♥] drove us to Jamies party but I was only there for 20mins tops. Tim killed my night and so I decided to leave instead of ruin his night too. Warren and Albert were kind enough to come back for me and drove me to Sookies Halloween party. I thought I would be fine but my head was in the wrong place so I asked my mum to come get me. It was shit, sookies was meant to be the highlight of the night, followed by the usual amazing times I have with the guys but I just wasn't in the mood =.= I should have just gone to Kurt's place instead of nats like I had planned.

2 hours later:
Lol I got distracted. The automatic doors stopped working, then the performers showed up and then I had to call tim so he could translate Viet for me because and old man was lost. Then I ran the show. It was great!! It went smashingly and then the director came to me and congratulated me on how smooth my transitions were compared to what had been done the other days XD fantastic.

XD so I have an hour to kill so I'm gona go figure out how to use the lighting board and read the manual.

So one day I was hanging out with Kurt and we realised that there are some pretty wacky sayings in the spanish language. Each Spanish speaking country has their own sayings, metaphors and similies but these are a few that I have collected over the last year or so. Every time I hear my mum or grandma say a new one I text Kurt XD It has become somewhat of a little tradition for me now =]

Saying: La negrita astuta vende fruta.
Direct Translation: The (Astute, cunning, sly, crafty, fraudulent) cute/little black girl sells fruit.
Meaning: This saying is said as a sort of warning that you are/someone else is a cocktease

Saying: No calientes el agua (si no vas a tomar té)
Direct Translation: Don't heat the water if you're not going to drink tea
Meaning: This is also a sort of warning to someone who is being a cocktease. Kind of like, don't flirt and lead someone on if you have no intention of hooking up with them. It is also a play on words because in Spanish (Chilean at least) the word calentar (to heat) is also used informally as a way to say 'make horny'. So 'estoy caliente' = I'm hot BUT it means I'm horny. If you wanted to say I'm hot (because of the weather) you would say 'tengo calor'

Tongue Twister: Tres tristes tigres trigo trillaron tranquilos tragaron
Translation: Three sad tigers, wheat they threshed (To separate the grain from the straw or husks by mechanical beating), calmly they swallowed.

Tongue Twister:Pedro Pablo Pérez Pereira pobre pintor portugués pinta paisajes por poca plata para pasar por París
Translation: Pedro Pablo Pérez Pereira poor Portugese painter paints landscapes for little money to pass through Paris.

Saying:Buscarle la quinta pata al gato
Direct Translation:To look for the 5th leg of the cat
Meaning: Looking for problems when there clearly aren't any in that situation, so you're over thinking it and overcomplicating yourself.

Saying: Para ser bella hay que ver estrellas
Direct Translation: To be beautiful you have to see stars
Meaning: I'm guessing this is a fairly old saying because my grandad said it to me once, I kind of fell in love with this little rhyme/mantra. It means that no pain is too great to endure in order to look your best, this particularly refers to women having to wear painful shoes (stilettos) because it makes their legs look hot, wearing tight clothing to show off curves, waxing, plucking, dying hair, and I suppose nowadays you could extend that into getting cosmetic surgery. Just to clarify, my grandad wasn't a dick, I remember the saying coming up because we were watching a show with really attractive women and I was in awe of them and he explained that constructed superficial beauty comes at a price =) Oh and if you don't get the imagery, it's based on seeing "stars" when you hit your head/get dizzy, like if you've ever seen the cartoon representation of stars around the head when they get hit.
